Rare Books

The Peace Country is chock full of authors with published books, but sometimes it is very difficult to get your hands on that writing.  Luckily, our local libraries can sometimes come through where bookstores and online sources can’t.  Here are two of the rarest books about this area that you can find.

Baxter’s Place -hood meetings & rabbit runs by Bette Baxter of Grimshaw.

The Peacemakers of the North Peace (Republished as The Peacemakers of Hudson’s Hope) by Cora Ventress, Marguerite Davies, Edith Kyllo.

Have you read these books?  We’d love to post your review.  Email townspirit@hotmail.com.

  1. I just bought a few discards from the library of a small town in eastern Montana. Reading the first one and what great entertainment it is! So glad I got it.
