The Northern Fossil Trail

The Peace Country is a hotspot for dinosaur discovery these days, but we have lots of other remarkable fossils to see as well.  If you are looking for some excitement and exploration this summer, why not head out on the Northern Fossil Trail for an hour, a day or a week of fun and learning? Follow the link to see an interactive map of the places you can go and what you will see.

Spirit River, Kleskun Hills, Pipestone Creek… these places are known for their prehistoric treasures.  Be sure to check out the posts in the Dinosaurs and Fossils category (link to the right) to read up on what is making the Peace Country interesting to fossil hunters across the world.

If you know of something great going on in the Peace Region this summer, please help us let people know about it!  Just email townspirit@hotmail.com with a post or an idea for one and you’ll see it right here on the blog.  If you can’t find information you need, let us know about that too and we’ll see what we can do 🙂
