The Revillon Freres, the other trading post company in the north west, was very active in the Peace Country. At Dunvegan last summer, the restored store was back on its original territory and open for tours and some story telling.
The Spirit River store was unfortunately lost forever due to fire. However, there are some photos preserved. The Glenbow Museum has this one and the McCord Museum has this one. It’s enough to give you an idea of the way things used to be when Spirit River was new.
