Alvin Law Speaking in Fairview

In the 1960s there was a new drug for pregnant women suffering from morning sickness.  Nobody then knew what the word Thalidomide would come to mean when thousands of babies throughout the world were born with defects, many involving missing or malformed limbs.

Alvin Law was one of those babies, but his inauspicious beginnings have morphed into a successful career as a motivational speaker.  Find out more here.

Alvin Law is speaking at the Fairview College Theatre November 15th at 7 p.m.  You can read all about where to find tickets in this Fairview Post article.

If you attend this event, you’ll also be helping to support Project Brock, a very worthy project working from Fairview.

  1. I remember hearing about thalidomide. Those babies who were affected certainly had a challenge right from the start.
