Dunvegan Park is the home of a most distinguished tree. If you have been to the park, you have probably seen it.
At a possible 130 years of age, it is one of the oldest trees in the area, and one with an unusually well-known history. This tree is a great favourite today and is even recognized by the Heritage Tree Foundation of Canada.
By now the tree has a little extra support (you might be able to spot the black bars in the pictures). Luckily, people’s love of this tree was recognized in time to preserve its existing appearance for some time to come.
