Summer has come to the Spirit River area and there are plenty of things going on. Here’s a sampling (check back frequently to see updates):
Rycroft Farmers Market is every Thursday from 11 – 4 at the Rycroft Community Hall.
June 20: RBC’s Customer Appreciation Day includes coffee and popcorn for all comers.
June 20: The CIRCUS is in town! One show only, starting at 7 p.m.
June 21: Co-operators Customer Appreciation BBQ with proceeds to the pool. Lunch is free but donations are welcome. Stop by from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
June 21: Kinette’s Run for the Pool Colour Run will be splashing through town. Registration is at 6:30.
June 22: Gordondale Fun Tractor Pull and Picnic starts at 1 p.m. No fee, just fun! Potluck supper at 5 with free hamburgers and hotdogs, but b.y.o. salads.
June 22: Kakut Lake Fishing Derby is from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., including a pancake breakfast and a salmon supper.
June 26: Saddle Hills Municipal Complex Opening tours and ceremony at 11:30. Please RSVP (check the Signal for more information).
July 1: M.D. of Spirit River’s Canada Day Fireworks Display, starts with a bang at 10 p.m.
July 6: Rycroft Ag. Society Parade starts at 10 a.m.
