Project Brock: Getting the Word Out

Last May, a Fairview high school student’s life ended all too soon due to sudden cardiac arrest during a volleyball game.

Now his mother is doing everything she can to prevent other youth deaths by encouraging the availability of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) – and training to use the life saving equipment.

  1. That is such a tragedy, the AED lying right there and no one feeling competent enough to use it. A bit of training could have saved that boy’s life. His parents must find it very hard to come to terms with that.
