Precipitation Map of Alberta

The Peace Country Sun published a moisture map of Alberta this week. The good news is Spirit River isn’t the driest area in Alberta this summer… but we are in the zone that has gotten only 20 – 40 mm of rain since June 30th.

If you missed getting the print copy, you can’t see the map on the Sun’s website but  you can see it here at Alberta Agriculture and Rural Development’s site, where you can also buzz around and look at 10, 773 other maps of Alberta’s weather and climate conditions through the past several decades.  Maybe you can spot a trend and make a prediction.

  1. Don’t worry. I’m sure you’ll make up for the dry weather with record snowfalls soon. (Oops! Maybe I shouldn’t have said the “s” word.)
