A Description of Spirit River

On October 21, 1966, The Edmonton Journal’s Women’s Editor Ruth Bowen included this description of Spirit River:

“… a town of 1,100 people, whose homes and business buildings are clutched together against a cold world of the all around emptiness of vast extending fields…”

By which we are sure Ms. Bowen meant that Spirit River is a strong, inclusive northern community in the panoramic Peace Country!
