Three Grimshaw Authors

The Peace Country is chock-full of authors!  Here are three from Grimshaw, interviewed for the Peace River Record Gazette last year:

Carmel Ellis, author of Wilderness Park – Reflections 2010, details the flora and fauna of the Wilderness Park between Grimshaw and Peace River.  His first book, Barns of the North Peace, was updated in 2010.

Looking Back With Dollye Cooper is an autobiographical collection of her lifetime of memories, most from 60 years in Grimshaw.  The book is available on Amazon.ca.

Dave McLaughlin’s book Stories I Love to Tell is also a collection of anecdotes about Alberta and Peace Country living that will take you back a few years.

All of these books are available from the Peace River Museum, and probably from other local sources as well.  The Gazette’s article about the Grimshaw trio of authors is here.

If you know of any local authors or books about the Peace Country, Town Spirit would love to know about them!  Please leave a comment or email townspirit@hotmail.com.
