Ground was broken for Grande Prairie’s new regional hospital, the Shields Health and Education Centre, on July 30th. People walked or took the GPRC van on a dirt road across a field strewn with bales to reach the site of the future hospital, set to open in the fall of 2014 (at full capacity in 2015). It will be a state of the art facility offering excellent care for all of us in “the Grande Prairie area”.
Theresa Sandul and Judy Brown, Spirit River members of the Peace Health Advisory Council, were there to see exciting event.
