Interview With a Local Nurse

100 Years of Nursing On The Prairies… not quite 100 years for this Spirit River nurse herself, but her career did span all the way from district nurse on horseback to the modern era of electronic hospital equipment.  She saw most of the local babies into the world while she worked as District Nurse at Blueberry Mountain.  She stitched wounds and gave inoculations, saved lives and tended people in a myriad of other ways.  Then she raised her 13 children and worked a farm before heading straight back to nursing.

Have you guessed who she is?  Whether or not you have the interview is good reading (click the purple word to read it).

Thank goodness for women such as this nurse!
